Ali Tarokh
CPS’24, DLP Law and Policy
Ali Tarokh holds a doctoral degree in Law and Policy and is a dedicated advocate for refugee and immigrant rights. As a former refugee, his lived experience deeply informs his commitment to policy reform and systemic change. In Iran, he was banned from pursuing higher education due to his peaceful political activism and advocacy for human rights. However, Northeastern University provided him the opportunity to continue his education and earn his doctoral degree, a milestone that was once denied to him. Through research, public speaking, and education, Ali works to dismantle barriers to refugee employment and amplify marginalized voices. He also enjoys thought-provoking films and deep discussions on global justice and human rights.
