Nicole Occidental
S’22, PhD Psychology, Behavioral Neuroscience minor
Nicole is an aspiring pediatric neurologist and physician-scientist dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders in children. She is currently an MD/PhD student at the University of Arkansas. At Northeastern, she undertook projects at Dr. Charles Hillman’s lab at Northeastern, Dr. Bernardo Sabatini’s lab at Harvard Medical School, and Dr. Ziv Williams’s lab at MGH. As a Gates Cambridge Scholar, she is aspiring to pursue a PhD in Medical Science at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit under the supervision of Dr. Kate Baker. In her free time, Nicole enjoys CrossFit, longboarding, and crocheting.
